Very friendly staff, delicious food, highly recommended

High quality rustic combined with modern simplicity result in a very pleasant, upscale but no-frills ambience. The dishes on offer are sometimes surprisingly exotic - sometimes strangely familiar. The boss himself answers questions about the unknown in a friendly, humorous and extensive manner. Here he is also an ambassador of a valuable, very old and unfortunately very quiet culture. The history of horror, which everyone knows, is apparently not primarily addressed, one shows oneself confident, modern and facing the now and the future. But enough of that ... The food was really very good. I had cocoa-coated chicken breast with a strawberry / asparagus side dish. There are many different starters. You can really still learn something there. We sat very well, longer than planned with wine and beer and also water, among other things also very well entertained by the service. You can treat yourself to that - at least we were very satisfied.

Food was okay, but the staff extremely rude. It has e.g. neither the waitress nor the owner of the restaurant, who was at the next table several times, asked whether we were satisfied or whether we had any wishes. I think that's a no go with the prices!

I think the new location of the restaurant looks more hidden than it used to be on carolastrasse. Something is inconceivable to me: all Israelites for peace are what the word Shalom means. In contrast, they are always objects of strife! It's just not logical!

A bit stiff at first, the restaurant turned out to be very accommodating and service-minded. The food is tasty and of high quality and definitely justifies the slightly higher price range. You should always talk to the owner in order to get interesting insights and views beyond the frequent questions answered in the menu. We would love to come back.

I find it beautiful every time! It is a quiet corner to enjoy and relax. The food is of course also great. It is always perfectly seasoned and fresh. I have been there many times and every time you are served friendly and polite. Pleasant atmosphere and simply all around beautiful! You can also visit the shalom with school classes and learn and cook about religions. The price is also very reasonable and not too expensive. There are starters, main courses and of course delicious desserts. I can only recommend it! ✨

It is always very nice to be here. You don't just feel comfortable and secure here, the atmosphere in the shalom is just fantastic. I love coming to this place in Chemnitz again and again to let myself be seduced by the delicacies.

Tasty food with plenty of vegan options if you go for the mezze/tappas. Also lots of vegan puddings. The restaurant itself is smart and cosy with bookcases etc making it lol a bit like a living room. Pictures of famous guests adorn the walls. Service is polite and efficient. Worth a visit.

You should definitely pre-order! As you know, eating is a matter of taste, I liked it a lot. The staff is polite, attentive but not pushy.

The restaurant is very cozy and the food is freshly prepared. The potato pancakes are made from freshly grated potatoes and the vegetables are not overcooked. All in all great?

In one of 7 Jewish restaurants in Germany there is high quality food, if you are lucky mom is in the kitchen at the age of 78.

Test that great cooking room, there's something on the menu in the policy. The place has real potential to become my next favorite place. The tables were excellently cleaned and the chairs were particularly comfortable. Really fast and friendly service. I think the whole local staff did a harmonious job there.

Super delicious food, great explanations and incredibly friendly staff. I tried to eat Jewish food in Berlin and was scared off with unaffordable prices, but you can eat very well here at moderate prices. - service - quality - good explanations in the menu

Very good service and tasty food. The prices are above average, but it's one of the few places in Germany that offers kosher food throughout the entire menu. The interior has a clean and modern design.
